Why Dimout Curtain Fabric is it so popular ?

We weave some incredible blackout & dim out fabrics, these are a real favourite with many of our contract clients especially in the care & hospitality sector. These fabrics offer a room darkening capability while still letting a little light in and they also drape beautifully too.

These dim out fabrics significantly reduce the degree of light penetration by using a combination of coatings on the reverse of the fabric. They are often found in the lower price groups and should not be considered as a fully blackout fabric, they simply block a higher percentage of light transmission than a normal fabric.

Our Dim out fabrics include a wide range of designs, from basic plains to more elaborate silk, tweed & linen looks that feature reversible herringbone or grid motifs. They are all woven on a double loom and are available in wide widths for a cost-effective floor-to-ceiling solution. All of these fabrics are polyester FR and meet numerous ACT performance standards for public buildings and provide top-quality lightfastness that means they won’t fade or show signs of deterioration over time.

These fabrics are ideal for contract interiors, especially those that require a high level of hygiene such as hotels, classrooms & lecture theatres, where projectors need to be used in specific conditions. They all have a light colour on the reverse, which helps them to appear harmoniously uniform from the outside, and they are also machine washable at up to 140°C, so stains can be easily removed.
